Photoplay: Frame It
Saturday, 19 June 2010
it was february in charleston, and we needed to get out. out of the house, out of our particular operational mode, a week or so before he spilled frustration and i admitted i’d chosen too much, a month or so before we made our second child. we were hemmed in, crazy blank space that needed shaping, needed something.
so we ran away to the sea late that day, when we were only three and i still had hands to hold my camera and watch the world inviting us to catch our breath, to frame our day a little longer, a little brighter than february sun swallowed behind tree-shade at our house.
evening came on, and light found me, framed through a pier on our gold-sand beach. i didn’t see it when i shot it, but here it was and here it is, framing grace-poured-out over ordinary life, God-light waiting its work in almost-ready hearts.
He was framing us for His glory then. I think He frames us still.

Oh, and for my Saturday’s delight, my son won second place at I ♥ Faces this week! I’m rather giddy, since *I* think he totally deserved it!
