sitting down, watching, laughing…
Tuesday, 18 May 2010
She was decked out in her princess “siwmm-soup” and minnie mouse panties, and she had an idea. She created a jungle gym with my old, comfy chair and her beanbag chair and “flew.”
“Mama, take a pitchure, me?”
She loves it now, being under the camera, seeing herself on the other side of the camera. (There are so many good reasons I have for shooting digitally.)
The baby watched and giggled and bounced and jiggled in his new bouncer. And Mama took pictures of her flight and her landing and her smile.
And we called Daddy at work so he could hear all the happy.
…
I realize that I shamelessly use Emily’s Tuesdays Unwrapped as an excuse to blog about my babies. Not that I need an excuse – they’re adorable, and I don’t do it enough. They are the gifts I don’t notice enough when I have my own agenda. They pull me out of my own head into life – whether I’m ready or not.
Oh, and speaking of “ready or not” – you have GOT to read this post from Elise. It’s all about “yes” and about life and about a day in a mother’s heart.

Kids do give us lots of opportunities to appreciate the everyday, don’t they?

There’s nothing like those little moments with the kids. I’m supposed to be teaching mine, I know that. But I think I’m doing most of the learning.

wonderful series of photos. they tell a story of pure, child-like joy. you should never feel bad for writing/posting about that. what a treasure these little “photo album pages” will be to your little ones when they grow up.

Can’t tell you how many times I viewed this, and then got bumped off before commenting.
I spend a lot of my life like that,
sometimes sitting gratefully, sometimes feeling a little bumped and bruised.
Oh well.
I’m back . We’re all here trying our best .
I love love her little expression of self through her outfit.
